In Module 1 you have explored the importance of reading and writing, and how different authors, through poetry and a variety of literary essays, have expressed what the written word means for them. Along the way, you used certain strategies to comprehend meaning -- summary, annotation, and reflection -- while also critically responding to the readings. These are important skills and as the course progresses, you will be called to use these skills in even more significant ways. Therefore, it is important to keep these skills in mind as we move forward to the next module, Myth and Archetypes.
